Machine Learning School in The Netherlands: Second Edition!

Posted by

For about two years, the business world was forced to bring its live events to a halt due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Because safety comes first, we also postponed our Machine Learning events hosted in person. If you have been following our activities, you may know we have been running online events instead to present the impact Machine Learning has had in many industries and contexts such as mobility, retail, risk management and compliance, EdgeML, how Machine Learning is being taught in Business Schools, and more.

After many quarantines and lockdowns, we are thrilled to announce that the first event we are going to host in situ will be the second edition of our Machine Learning School in The Netherlands! It seems that The Netherlands is at the forefront of wider Machine Learning adoption as was apparent from the feedback we received at our last event (the first edition of our school) right before the pandemic started.

Without further ado, BigML, Grio, and Nyenrode Business Universiteit are pleased to invite you to the second Machine Learning School in The Netherlands on July 4-6, 2022. The three-day event will take place at Nyenrode Business University, in Breukelen (near Amsterdam), and the program is designed to address the needs of different professional profiles.

  • Machine Learning for Executives – July 4 (day 1): A C-level course on Machine Learning, ideal for business leaders and senior executives in all industries. Attendees will be able to understand how Machine Learning can be adopted in any organization, focusing on the strategy to follow as well as the key points that managers should know when making decisions. Additionally, we will learn about several real-world success stories presented by companies that are currently applying Machine Learning techniques.

  • Hands-On Machine Learning with a special focus on Anomaly Detection – July 5 (day 2): This conference will be a one-day crash course combined with experiential learning with the Machine Learning masters such as Professor Tom Dietterich, one of the pioneers of the field of Machine Learning and BigML’s Co-Founder and Chief Scientist. Attendees will be able to put theoretical concepts into practice in a hands-on manner. We will also cover several real-world use cases focused on Anomaly Detection. This course is designed for business innovators, industry practitioners, as well as students, seeking a quick, practical, and hands-on introduction to Machine Learning to solve business problems. The content presented will serve as a good introduction to the kind of work that students can expect if they enroll in advanced Machine Learning and AI Masters.

  • Working with the Masters – July 6 (day 3): We will devote the third day of the Machine Learning School to help you solve your problems, questions, or issues you may face in your organization. As such, we will organize personalized sessions with those attendees that wish to discuss their specific use cases with the leading Machine Learning experts. Attendees will be able to bring their own data to get advice from the Machine Learning masters.
